RAY
Client

Ray is a 9-year-old boy with a contagious sense of humor who was diagnosed 4 years ago with ADHD and more recently with dyslexia.  According to his family, reading has always been a challenge to Ray.  But his learning specialist, Ms. Laura Kovalcik, "working tirelessly with his teachers" and providing her own professional analysis identified dyslexia as his reading disability.  Ray is engaged weekly with Ms. Kovalcik who is focused on his individual learning needs and personalized strategies to improve his reading.  Ray often shares how much he "loves" working with Ms. Kovalcik and how "she makes it fun to learn."  His family shares that "he looks forward to his time with her and has made great progress with his reading." He "hated reading"; but now "enjoys reading to her."  "She is AMAZING! "

Thank you for financially helping Ray.  You are a part of his life, too.

Dear Friends of Dynamic Learners, Inc.,

Over two million people in the Houston-metro area are functionally illiterate (NCES, 2020) and 55% have an undiagnosed reading or math learning disability and cannot afford after-school learning programs--over one million people (PEW, 2019).  Improving reading and math opens opportunities for those who are functionally illiterate and undiagnosed to live safer, healthier, more self-sufficient and rewarding lives. Our professional team focuses on diagnosing learning disabilities and tailoring proven solutions to empower learners for success in school and life.  Our clients and parents report that 90% of our teams’ interventions significantly improved the learner’s reading and math challenges or learning disabilities (2020).

Our mission is to change lives and communities by providing high-quality personalized reading and math learning programs for all learners with learning challenges or desire to improve their skills.  Plus, we strive to remove any financial barriers through our reading and math literacy scholarship fund.  No child should grow up without reading and math literacy.

We invite you to join us in changing lives by removing financial barriers through our reading and math literacy scholarship fund for underserved populations in our area.  Help us provide in-person and remote professional learning diagnostic and intervention services for learners.  With you by our side, lives will be changed through the power of reading and math literacy.

With gratitude,

Dr. Joan Ickes and Dr. Lillian McEnery, Co-founders
